Thank you all for coming out to our launch. What a great success! Adriana and the team at Pica Pica Maize Kitchen really out did themselves with fantastic food, speedy service and scrumptious sangria! Thank you!
In addition to San Francisco’s gluten-free diners, we also had some gluten-eating friends. There was one very doubtful friend, who will remain nameless. Full of support for the cause and his friends, he entered the restaurant with hesitation. This friend of the Gluttons was squeamish about eating a totally gluten-free meal. He grabbed fear by the horns and ordered all three “breads”: the arepa (grilled flour cake), the maize’wich (sweet corn bread), and the cachapa (sweet corn pancake). Each came loaded with a different Venezuela treat. Let’s just say by the time he finished, he was converted!
If you’re a GlutenFreeGlutton or just a glutton, you must try the Mission’s newest Venezuelan restaurant. Everyone leaves happy and the GF diners leave healthy!
Pictures of the party are coming soon… the camera is currently enjoying vacation in Nicaragua.
